New antifogging agents for polypropylene

SpecialChem / Sep 21, 2007

On the occasion of the latest Addcon Conference in Cologne (Germany), the Dannish firm Danisco Emulsifiers has introduced new antifogging agents for polypropylene (PP) films. These new products are based on polyglycerol esters that provide high efficiency together with high safety. They are made by the polymerization of glycerin which is then estherified with fatty acids. Typical applications are in the packaging industry. Danisco has also developed new antistatic solutions for low-density polyethylene (ldPE) and linear low-density polyethylene (lldPE).
