New decoration technology

SpecialChem / Dec 9, 2009

The French plastic cosmetic packaging specialist RPC Beauté Marolles has launched an innovative technology that allows gemstones to be applied to plastic cosmetic packaging automatically during production. In fact, until now, the technique required individual application by hand, which was significantly expensive and limited its use to special editions. The new technology that has been developed in collaboration with the famous jeweler Swarovski is available under the trade name HotFix. It has been designed to respond to the constant need for both premium and mainstream brands to add value to cosmetic packaging, while ensuring cost-effectiveness. It can be applied to plastic, lacquered or plated parts, and can be overmolded or combined with other decoration and finishing techniques. RPC is offering HotFix for a wide variety of cosmetics packaging types, including lipsticks, mascaras, glosses, compacts and closures
