Prototyping has Bright Future in Manufacturing

Rapid prototyping techniques - which are routinely used to create first-draft physical models of products - are increasingly being used as manufacturing techniques in their own right. A growing need for low-volume customised designs, and the ability of these techniques to make 'impossible' products are helping to speed their adoption as manufacturing techniques.
