ecovio® FS2312

ecovio® FS2312 by BASF is a biodegradable compound for compostable film with a bio-based content of 46% and partly based on renewable resources. It is a compound of aliphatic-aromatic copolyester ecoflex® F and polylactic acid (PLA). It does not contain slip agent. This grade displays softer touch, improved contact transparency & clarity. It exhibits better welding performance and hot tack due to lower melting point. This grade shows accelerated biodegradation speed and improved composting according to EN 13432. It possesses high melt strength, good thermostability up to 230°C and good mechanical properties. ecovio® FS2312 demonstrates excellent processability and wet strength. It is printable in 8 colors by flexo printing. This grade is developed for the conversion to flexible films using a blown film process in a thickness range of 20-240µm. It is used for manufacturing of packaging films, hygienic films, carrier bags and compost bags.
