Polystyrene 550 by I. Stern and Company is a high impact polystyrene (HIPS) resin. Is a hard and rigid grade exhibiting impact strength more than five times that of general purpose polystyrene (GPPS). Possesses excellent toughness & environmental stress cracking resistance and offers good processability. Suitable for processing by injection molding. Polystyrene 550 by I. Stern and Company is used in structural foams, displays, small appliances, housewares and toys. Complies with UL 94 flammability regulations and meets the specifications of norm21 CFR 177.1640 of the FDA.
