HIPEX®

Plastics supplied by Kraiburg

HIPEX® are "High-Performance Thermoplastic Elastomer Hybrid" grades. They are known as a substitute to common rubber solutions. They hold several properties, such as recyclable, chemically resistant to engine oil, greases, fuels, cooling liquids, etc.

Comparing to other TPEs, these required a shorter Cycle time and there is no vulcanization required.

They are used in multicomponent injection molding made up of thermoplastics, for example, PA, PBT, and PP. These TPEs have long-term oil resistance and thermal stability up to 150°C for engine and transmission applications. Another usage is in gear box applications.
