Wanhua Chemical Group provides innovative and tailored thermoplastic performance materials under the WANTHANE® brand name. The thermoplastic material portfolio consists of high-quality polyester-, polyether-, polycarbonate-, and caprolactone--based thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPU). These block copolymers offer excellent performance including outstanding mechanical properties, a wide range of shore hardness, low temperature flexibility, hydrolytic stability, short cycle time and more.

In support of the industry need for more sustainable solutions and a greener TPU, Wanhua recently launched their WANTHANE® WHT-ECO product portfolio of bio-based polyether- and polyester-based thermoplastic polyurethanes. These products contain bio-content from 20% to as high as 75% from renewable resources with no compromise on performance.

Wire and Cable

WANTHANE® thermoplastic polyurethane resins include polyester- and polyether-based TPUs with durometer shore hardness ranging from 60A to 98A.

These thermoplastic polyurethane resins are environment-friendly and free of halogen content offering excellent mechanical properties, extrusion processing stability, oil and chemical resistance, weather resistance and more.

WANTHANE® thermoplastic polyurethane resins are available in the form of granules in natural white or transparent.

Footwear

WANTHANE® thermoplastic polyurethane grades from Wanhua exhibit good UV resistance, excellent mechanical performance, and low temperature flexibility and effectively help in eliminating the problem of abrasion, yellowing and weathering, thus increasing the durability of footwear.

The shore hardness of WANTHANE® TPU resins can be as low as 55A without compromising the benefits like soft touch feel and short cycle time enabling manufacturers to produce outsoles and uppers of casual shoes. These TPU resins also exhibit high transparency and ease of printing and coloring.

As an alternative to petroleum-based thermoplastic polyurethane resins, our environment-friendly WANTHANE® WHT-ECO grades enable the sustainable development of various parts of the footwear. These eco-friendly thermoplastic resins are pollution-free and can also be recycled, lowering the environmental footprint.

Automotive

Wanhua Chemical Group continues to innovate thermoplastic material solutions for the automotive industry.

Their polyester-based thermoplastic polyurethane grades under the brand name of WANTHANE® offer excellent mechanical properties, outstanding abrasion resistance, short cycle time and shore hardness ranging from 80A to 72D.

HEALTHCARE

Wanhua Chemical’s environment friendly, halogen free WANTHANE® polyether-based TPUs are extensively used in the medical and healthcare industry.

These thermoplastic polyurethane polymers feature good anti-disinfector, a soft-touch feel, and are easy-to-clean. WANTHANE® grades comply with USP Class IV test and ISO10993-3, -4, -5, -6, -10 and -11 test.

WANTHANE® WHT-1190

Wanthane® WHT-1190 is an abrasion-resistant, polyester-based thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) grade by Wanhua Chemical.

  • Exhibits excellent mechanical properties, good wear resistance and short cycle time.
  • Used in conveyor belts, wires & cables, high pressure oil tubes, shoes, seals and screen-packs.
