ecovio® M2351

ecovio® M2351 by BASF is based on compostable, biodegradable copolyester ecoflex® F blend and polylactic acid (PLA). It can be processed by film extrusion. This compound is a translucent, semi-crystalline structure with DSC melting point in two ranges 140-155°C for PLA and 110-120°C for ecoflex® F blend. It contains anti-blocking agent. ecovio® M2351 possesses high strength, low stiffness, high failure energy and good mechanical properties. This grade demonstrates excellent processability and down-gauging up to 8 µm possible, typical thicknesses:10-120 µm. It shows good thermostability during processing up to 230°C. It is designed for thin agricultural or horticultural film applications such as mulch film, cover film, and silage film. This is suitable for the production of black, transparent and colored mulch films.
