PEXIDAN® SX409

PEXIDAN® SX409 by SACO AEI Polymers is a silane cross-linkable polyethylene for medium voltage power cable insulation. It is suitable for processing by extrusion method. Its pre-grafted base mixed with a crosslinking catalyst masterbatch CM401 in the ratio 95:5. It is typically used in conjunction with cross-linkable semi-conducting material for conductor and insulation shields. Crosslinking is obtained by exposure to moist or hot water immersion only. It has been specifically developed for cables operating up to 36kV. PEXIDAN® SX409 has a shelf life of at least 6 months.
