PEXIDAN® SX409NT

PEXIDAN® SX409NT by SACO AEI Polymers is a silane cross-linkable polyethylene for medium voltage power cable insulation. It is suitable for processing by extrusion method. Its pre-grafted base mixed with a crosslinking catalyst masterbatch CM401 in the ratio 95:5. It has been specifically developed for cables operating up to 36kV. The graft compound contains a non-staining stabilizer and an effective tree retarder, giving outstanding long-term retention of dielectric strength. It is typically used in conjunction with cross-linkable semi-conducting material for conductor and insulation shields. Crosslinking is obtained by exposure to moist or hot water immersion only. PEXIDAN® SX409NT has a shelf life of at least 6 months.
