ECCOH™ LSFOH 6153 UV by PolyOne is a thermoplastic polyolefin-based low smoke and fume, non-halogenated system. It is designed for optical fiber cables including stranded loose tubes-gel-filled/dry, micro-modules and tight buffer applications-gel-filled/dry. It can run at high processing speeds of up to 1000 m/min with a much lower melting temperature than PBT alternatives and can greatly enhance manufacturing efficiency. This product provides greater resistance to chemicals such as gel water blocking compounds, used to protect optical fibers. ECCOH™ LSFOH 6153 UV is easily colorable and enhances lower wall thickness, reducing raw material used in production. It is optimized for teroson and shows good unigel, excellent teroson and good itcogel migration performance. It reduces migration over time and expands the lifetime value of the cable. It offers high UV resistance, very low shrinkage, increased chemical resistance, lower gel migration and enhanced rheological behavior. It shows compatibility with PolyOne masterbatch. Applicable for dry as well as wet applications, communication and data cables. It complies with IEC 60794, NF XP C93-850-1-1:2020, EN 50289-4-17:2016, ISO 4892:2016 and ST/CNET/5843 (1998).
