ENGAGE™ 8540

ENGAGE™ 8540 by Dow is a general-purpose polyolefin elastomer (POE) grade. It is based on INSITE™ technology. It is easily colorable, low density/lightweight, and based on ethylene octene copolymer.

It is utilized in applications such as TPO roofing, automotive bumper fascia, footwear foams (which are light and provide excellent resilience & cushioning to the shoe), molded goods (toys and other consumer/household items), and noise vibration harshness (NVH).
It demonstrates superior melt strength, processability, and reduced shrinkage.
Excellent physical characteristics include reduced surface gloss, low temperature ductility, and elasticity.
Provides higher heat resistance, thermal stability, impact resistance, and low temperature performance.
It can be recycled for use as in-process scrap.
Suitable for producing flexible yet durable items.
It has a shelf life of 12 months.
