Arnitel® EM550

Arnitel® EM550 by DSM is a high-performance, thermoplastic co-polyester (TPC). It is processed by injection molding and film extrusion. It is a lighter, smarter, greener alternative to conventional rubbers thus, reducing environmental impact and ultimately, system costs. This food contact quality grade possesses strength & excellent processing characteristics. It offers chemical resistance against household chemicals like cleaning agents, sunscreen lotion and automotive greases and oils. It provides nice touch & feel characteristics, excellent colorability, high creep retention properties, kink & great outdoor resistance and excellent coil retention. It allows for reliable solutions in respiratory tubing due to its excellent breathability, preventing condensation. It provides retention of flexibility even at temperatures down to -40°C or at elevated temperatures up to 100˚C. Arnitel® EM550 is used in industrial cords & ropes, medical tubes, power transmission belts, railway buffers, respirator tubes, seat suspension/fabrics and truck trailer power & signal cord. It meets ISO 18064 for TPC-ET.
