EPOTEC® YDF 173 by Aditya Birla Chemicals is a higher functionality novolac, bisphenol-F based epoxy resin. Offers increased cure density, improved thermal stability, hardness, mechanical strength and resistance against various chemicals. It is compatible with all common epoxy resins in all ratios. It can be blended with epoxy reactive diluents to reduce viscosity. A tri-functional epoxy reactive diluent is preferred to maintain the chemical resistance properties and thermal stability. EPOTEC® YDF 173 is used in chemical resistance coatings, industrial floors, composites, laminates and adhesives for electronic application.
