SYNOLITE™ 1389-I-2

SYNOLITE™ 1389-I-2 by AOC is a thixotropic, unsaturated isophthalic vinyl ester blend, dissolved in styrene. It is pre-accelerated and contains color change indicator. It can be cured at 15-30°C with medium reactivity methyl ethyl ketone peroxide (MEKP). It allows wet on wet construction of very thick laminates, without shrinkage or strain problems. Exhibits low water absorption, excellent wetting of the glass fiber reinforcement, good mechanical properties, low peak exotherm and good workability. It is suitable for processing by hand lay-up and spray-up. Designed for boat building, vertical laminates and marine applications. SYNOLITE™ 1389-I-2 conforms to RINA approval.
