BMC 1454 by LyondellBasell is a low cost, flame retardant, polyester grade reinforced with glass fiber. Exhibits good electrical properties, excellent flexural strength, electrical insulation and good strength. Shows resistance to arc and tracking. Designed for processing by compression and injection molding. Used in electrical parts and electronic applications. BMC 1454 meets the arc interruption test required for circuit breakers. Complies with UL-94 (V0) flame rating. This material is formerly known as Glastic® 1454.
