Premi-Glas® 1286 by LyondellBasell is a glass fiber reinforced, unspecified thermoset grade employing hybrid vinyl ester/polyester resin technology. It exhibits high strength, and automotive chemicals-, salt water- and spray resistance. It replaces cast metals for reduced noise, vibration and harshness. It provides excellent thermal properties and elevated temperature modulus retention. It is processed by compression for large-span valve covers and sheet molding. Premi-Glas® 1286 is used in automotive under the hood, powertrain, sheet and structural or semi-structural parts. It meets the requirements of GMP.UP.018 and other specs.
