Quantum HTC® 9593 by LyondellBasell is a 3K PAN carbon fiber reinforced, bismaleimide composite. It is a sheet molding compound. It exhibits high stiffness and high strength. It can be molded at temperatures in the range of 260-350°F, with 300°F suggested as a starting point. Its cure time depends on molding temperature and part thickness. Quantum HTC® 9593 has a shelf life of 6 months.
