LIM 6041

LIM 6041 by Momentive Performance Materials is a two-component, liquid silicone rubber formulated with barium sulfate. Exhibits excellent tear strength, high tensile strength, excellent radio-opaque ratio and excellent release from metal molds. Offers rapid cure time depending upon part size, configuration and molding temperature. LIM 6041 is designed for processing by liquid injection molding. Potential applications include wound drain catheters where molded parts can be detected under X-ray. Complies with USP Class VI, BfR recommendation XV “Silicones”, FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 regulations and UL 94 (HB) (File No. E205753) flame rating.
