TSE 221-5U by Momentive Performance Materials is a heat cured silicone rubber (HCR) based on peroxide catalyst system. Possesses low compression set and high clarity. It is a one-component, general purpose, ready-to-use resin. Exhibits enhanced mechanical performance, low hysteresis and high resilience. Offers good processability, rapid cure times and relatively low odor during fabrication. Can be processed by injection, compression & transfer molding, extrusion and calendering. Possible applications include automotive, aviation & aerospace, consumer goods, electrical/ electronics, energy and healthcare. TSE 221-5U conforms to UL94HB rating.
