KE-981-U is a general purpose silicone rubber by Shin-Etsu, containing 2.0 of C-8 curing agent added to 100 parts of compound. It is highly transparent, non-corrosive, inert and can be easily colored with pigments. Shows releasability, good chemical stability, electrical insulation and good weatherability. Offers thermal- & electrical conductivity, tear- & tensile strength, gas & vapor permeability, low loss modulus and vibration absorption. Provides superior heat-, cold-, flex fatigue-, radiation-, compression-, oil-, solvent-, moisture-, steam- and chemical resistance. KE-981-U is suitable for processing by compression moldng. Used in electronics, electrical equipments, office automation, automobile, food products, household goods and leisure products. Meets BfR and FDA (21CFR177.2600).
