3M™ Dyneon™ Fluoroplastic THV 500GX4Z is a melt-processable fluorothermoplastic containing tetrafluoroethylene, hexafluoropropylene and vinylidene fluoride. Is suitable for processing by extrusion and injection molding. Processing profile allows co-processing with olefinic plastics and hydrocarbon elastomers. Provides high transparency, good flexibility, bondability to itself and other substrates (for multi-layer constructions), low flammability, excellent performance with respect to dynamic testing and permeation resistance to fuels. Possesses excellent weatherability, thermal stability, good anti-soiling properties and low refractive index. Allows welding with all common methods including high-frequency welding and low temperature fusion. Used in extruded films, tubes, profiles, wire coatings and as a barrier layer in automotive fuel hoses.
