3M™ Dyneon™ Fluoroplastic THV 500GZ by 3M-Dyneon is a melt-processable fluorothermoplastic containing tetrafluoroethylene, hexafluoropropylene and vinylidene fluoride. It shows good chemical resistance, low temperature processability, optical clarity and light transmission. Provides high transparency, high flexibility, bondability to itself and other substrates (for multi-layer constructions), low flammability, excellent performance with respect to dynamic testing and permeation resistance to fuels. Possesses excellent weatherability, thermal stability, UV stability, good anti-soiling properties and low refractive index. It is suitable for processing by extrusion and injection molding. Processing profile allows co-processing with olefinic plastics and hydrocarbon elastomers. Used in extruded films, tubes, profiles, wire coatings and as a barrier layer in automotive fuel hoses and seals in chemical containment to protective layers in photovoltaic backsheets.
