SX734:CM488

SX734:CM488 by AEI Compounds is a silane crosslinkable polyethylene (XLPE) grade. Exhibits excellent impact strength, environmental stress cracking resistance (ESCR), creep and internal pressure resistance under ambient and elevated temperature conditions. The graft component SX734 is mixed with a crosslinking catalyst masterbatch CM488 generally in the ratio 95:5. Offers good extrusion properties at high output rates and is curable by exposure to moist conditions. SX734:CM488 is used in high temperature pressure pipes (both hot and cold water pipes). Is approved as suitable for use in contact with potable water up to 85°C and listed with Water Regulatory Advisory Scheme (WRAS), DVGW and NSF 61. Pipe produced from SX734:CM488 meets the internal pressure requirements of DIN 16892, BS 7291 Class S, NSF 14 and NSF Protocol P171 for Domestic Continuous Re-circulation & Traditional Domestic end use.
