AKROTEK® PEEK

AKROTEK® PEEK by Akro-Plastic is a semi-crystalline polyetheretherketone (PEEK) grade. Provides good impact strength and high continuous operating temperature (above 342 °C).
  • Exhibits low outgassing rate, good radiation-, chemical-, creep- and hydrolysis-resistance and good barrier properties against liquids and gases.
  • Shows high heat distortion temperature (above 300°C) and good resistance to aggressive substances such as acids, bases, glycol, solvents, ammonia and engine oil.
  • Is processed by extrusion and injection molding and can be used in unfavourable wear and friction situations for applications requiring metal replacement and weight reduction.
  • Used in interior trim, seat components, fasteners, gearbox, clutch and chassis components.
  • Also used in heat pumps, pipe couplings and hose connectors.
  • Suitable for electric and electronic applications such as cable coatings, contact strips and plug-in connectors.
  • AKROTEK® PEEK is recommended for orthopaedic accessories, laboratory equipment, pump, compressor components, sealing rings and transport systems.
