Ultradur®

Ultradur® is a co-extrudable polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) with a melting point closer to that of PVC. Allows co-extrusion with poly vinyl chloride (PVC), eliminates steel reinforcement and enables a one-step optimized extrusion process of the window profiles. Is a high strength but lightweight reinforcement that provides the mechanical properties required to withstand strong winds and greatly reduces heat transfer through the window profile. Allows replacement of steel in PVC window profile which provides excellent thermal insulation, supports sustainable/energy efficient construction, energy cost savings for consumers and improved productivity in manufacturing and processing. Used in manufacturing of thermally insulated PVC window profiles in buildings and construction.
