Ultramid® A3EG6

Ultramid® A3EG6 by BASF is a polyamide 66 reinforced with 30% glass fiber. It possesses good elastic & dielectric properties, high dimensional stability, high creep strength and excellent sliding friction properties. This grade provides good toughness at low temperatures, hardness, high rigidity, high mechanical strength, stiffness, thermal stability, very good impact strength and good processability. It exhibits outstanding resistance to chemicals, hot lubricants and hot water, fuels, hydraulic fluids and coolants, refrigerants, dyes, paints, cleaners, degreasing agents, aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons and many other solvents. It is resistant to corrosion, to aqueous solutions of salts and alkalis and to stress-crack formation compared to many amorphous plastics. This grade is processed by injection molding. Ultramid® A3EG6 is suitable for machinery components and housings such as lamp socket housings, cooling fans, insulating profile for aluminum window frames, water containers for automotive cooling systems, as well as electrically insulating parts.
