Ultramid® A3HG6 Balance

Technical Datasheet | Supplied by BASF
Blend of polyamide PA66 and PA610. It is produced by polycondensation of hexamethylene diamine and sebacic acid. This is based to the extent of about 60 per cent on sebacic acid, a renewable raw material derived from castor oil. It differs from conventional polyamide 6 (PA 6) and 66 (PA 66) in a reduced water uptake as well as improved hydrolysis as well as stress cracking resistance. It is highly resistant to fuels, oils and greases, to most solvents, aqueous solutions and alkalis. Used in overmolding metal and electronic components that come into contact with aggressive media, for example wheel speed sensors, housing and gear components where dimensional stability is a major consideration, plug-in connectors, pipes and reservoirs in cooling circuits with high demands on hydrolysis resistance.
