Ultramid® A3WGM53

Ultramid® A3WGM53 by BASF is a polyamide 66 grade reinforced with 25% glass fiber and 15% mineral. It possesses good elastic properties, high dimensional stability, high creep strength and excellent sliding friction properties. This grade provides good toughness at low temperatures, hardness, medium rigidity & strength, low warpage, stiffness, thermal stability, very good impact strength, good processability and surface finish. Ultramid® A3WGM53 exhibits outstanding resistance to chemicals, hot lubricants and hot water, fuels, hydraulic fluids and coolants, refrigerants, dyes, paints, cleaners, degreasing agents, aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons and many other solvents. It is resistant to corrosion, to aqueous solutions of salts and alkalis and to stress-crack formation compared to many amorphous plastics. It is processed by injection molding. It is used for automotive applications such as cylinder-head cover. It is compliant with EC Regulation 1907/2006 (REACH).
