Ultramid® A3XZG5

Ultramid® A3XZG5 by BASF is a 25% glass fiber reinforced polyamide 66 grade. It is an impact-modified grade with improved flame retardance based on red phosphorus. It exhibits good elastic properties, dimensional stability, low tendency to creep and excellent sliding friction properties. Provides good toughness at low temperatures, high rigidity, high mechanical strength, stiffness, thermal stability, very good impact strength and good processability. Offers outstanding resistance to chemicals, hot lubricants, hot water, fuels, hydraulic fluids & coolants, refrigerants, dyes, paints, cleaners, degreasing agents, aliphatic & aromatic hydrocarbons and many other solvents. Ultramid® A3XZG5 is resistant to corrosion, to aqueous solutions of salts & alkalis and to stress-crack formation compared to many amorphous plastics. It is suitable for processing by injection molding. Applications include high stiffness components such as electrical switches, PV-connectors and PV-junction boxes.
