Ultramid® B3WG8 High Speed

Technical Datasheet | Supplied by BASF
Ultramid® B3WG8 High Speed by BASF is a polyamide 6 grade with 40% glass fiber content. It flows at least 50% farther than standard PA6 that reduces the wall thicknesses and thus the weight, of a plastic part. The product is optimized with the aid of BASF’s ULTRASIM™ simulation instrument. It is heat stabilized for operating temperatures of up to 170°C and has reduced cycle times. It possesses good elastic & excellent flow properties, dimensional stability, low tendency to creep and exceptional sliding friction properties. It provides good toughness at lower temperatures, high strength, rigidity, stiffness, good surface quality, design flexibility and ease of processing. Ultramid® B3WG8 High Speed exhibits high impact strength and good heat aging resistance. It is processed by injection molding. It is used for components in the engine compartment, such as engine covers and intake manifolds. It is also used for pedals, part brackets and other vehicle components that must withstand a static load and heat aging.
