GP5550

GP5550 by Braskem is a translucent/ white, high molar mass high density polyethylene grade. Does not contain the substance Bisphenol A (BPA, CAS # No. 80-05-7) in its composition. Insoluble in water while soluble in xylene. Produced with bimodal technology and shows excellent mechanical properties and high resistance to stress cracking. Suitable for straight pipes for mining, subducts for energy and telecom, jacketing of optic fibers & metallic cables, geomembranes and blends for irrigation pipes. GP5550 by Braskem meets the requirements for olefin polymers as defined in 21 CFR, section 177.1520 issued by FDA-Food and Drug Administration in force on the date of publication of this specification. The additives present are covered in appropriate regulation by FDA.
