PURAPOL D070 by Corbion Purac Group is a crystalline, odorless, water insoluble, bio-based PLA homopolymer grade derived from natural resources. It is recommended to include 3-7% nucleating agent in formulations containing PLA homopolymers for crystalline resins. Offers a significant reduction in carbon footprint compared to oil-based plastics. Offers range of melt viscosities and deliver improved heat resistance, excellent mechanical properties and a reduced processing cycle time over standard PLA. Can be used as neat resin or as part of a compound in order to further optimize overall material properties. PURAPOL D070 is suitable for food contact applications. Complies with Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 (REACH), Regulation (EC) No. 453/2010 and Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
