Makrolon® 2256 by Covestro is a low viscosity polycarbonate (PC) food contact grade. It is suitable for processing by injection molding. It provides high transparency and easy release. It is available in transparent, translucent, and opaque colors. It exhibits high heat resistance, good toughness, good dimensional stability, high creep modulus and good electrical insulation properties. Makrolon® 2256 complies with EU No. 10/2011, BfR Recommendation IX.
