Makrolon® 2556 by Covestro is a medium viscosity polycarbonate (PC) grade. Exhibits easy release, high heat resistance, good toughness, good dimensional stability, high creep modulus and good electrical insulation properties. Provides high transparency and outstanding break resistance. Products made from the grade provides durability, efficient reusability and energy and CO2 emission savings. Is suitable for processing by injection molding. Makrolon® 2556 is used in food contact applications like tableware, dinnerware, glasses, tumblers, institutional food trays, water bottles and water filter systems. Complies with EU No. 10/2011, BfR Recommendation IX and FDA.
