Technical Datasheet | Supplied by Danimer Scientific
Nodax™ by Danimer Scientific is a 100% renewable polyhydroxybutyrate-hexanoate (PHB-H) made from corn, sugar beet and/or vegetable oils and is often referred to as a biopolymer, since it is derived from plants. It can create a variety of plastic materials and/or products including packaging, laminates and coatings, nonwoven fibers.
  • It has a smaller carbon footprint-from manufacturing to post-consumer use-than synthetic plastics.
  • Derived from plants, it uses less energy and employs a cleaner industrial process that reduces the emission of greenhouse gases during production.
  • It reduces dependency on limited fossil fuel resources currently used to manufacture many common plastic compounds.
  • It is biodegradable material that can be used in many common consumer products and household goods.
  • Nodax™ could replace many commonly used synthetic plastics in detergent bottles, coffee containers, paper cups and plates (via use in laminates and coatings), plastic bags, foam containers, baby wipes.
