SURLYN™ 1601 lonomer

SURLYN™ 1601 lonomer by Dow is a reliable, cost-effective ethylene acid copolymer. It exhibits outstanding clarity, high stiffness, abrasion- & flex crack resistance, and ability to downgauge. It is a sodium ionomer grade used as sealant.
  • It provides low seal initiation temperature, high toughness at low temperature, oil barrier and very high hot tack.
  • It is suitable for processing by conventional blown film-, cast film-, sheet extrusion and co-extrusion.
  • It is recommended for meat and cheese packaging applications.
  • SURLYN™ 1601 lonomer complies with FDA 21 CFR 177.1330(a), TSCA, GB 4806.1-2016, EN 71-3, EU Directive 2012/19/EU (WEEE), EU Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS) and conforms to CONEG, EU 94/62/EC.
