Grilamid TR® 55 LY

Grilamid TR® 55 LY by EMS-Grivory (EMS Group) is a polyamide 12 (PA 12) grade based on aliphatic and cycloaliphatic monomers. It possesses very high flexural fatigue strength, good colorability (in transparent as well as opaque colors), good stiffness, good toughness even at low temperatures and good dimensional stability. It provides clear transparency even in high wall thicknesses, good resistance to chemicals, alcohol and stress cracking. It offers low moisture absorption, low water absorption compared to standard polyamides, high heat distortion temperature and easy processability. It is suitable for processing by injection molding. Grilamid TR® 55 LY is used in automotive applications like fuel systems, petrol filters, telecommunication connectors and optical components like sunglasses and spectacle frames. It complies with NSF 61 (for water contact), REACH, RoHS and WEEE.
