Polystyrene 970E by I. Stern and Company is a high impact polystyrene (HIPS) resin. This hard & rigid grade exhibits impact strength more than five times that of general purpose polystyrene (GPPS). Exhibits excellent toughness & environmental stress cracking resistance and offers good processability. Suitable for processing by extrusion. Polystyrene 970E is used in thermoformed containers & lids for food packaging, profiles and custom extruded sheets. Complies with UL 94 flammability regulations and meets the specifications of norm21 CFR 177.1640 of the FDA.
