A4040 is a high density polyethylene copolymer present as white to yellowish pellets/ flakes. Insoluble in cold water, hot water and octanol. It can be processed using compression molding and injection molding. Specifically designed as the base resin for the production of cross-linked pipes according to the PEX B silane process. Listed on United States inventory (TSCA 8b), EINECS (European Union), IECSC (China), DSL (Canada), AICS (Australia), ENCS/ METI (Japan), NZIoC (New Zealand), KECI (Korea), PICCS (Philippines), NECI (Taiwan), EU Cosmetic Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009, Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) of 2008/ Lead and Phthalates in Toys. A 4040 conforms to RoHS 2, Directive 2011/65/EU, WEEE EU 2012/19/EU, CONEG/EU Directive 94/62/EC/, California Proposition 65, Canada’s Chemical Management Plan, EU Commission Regulation (EC) and GMP and EU Commission Regulation.
