Durethan® B 40 FA 000000 by LANXESS is a high viscosity polyamide (PA 6) grade. Possesses good slip properties, high mechanical strength, good electrical insulation properties and high stiffness. Exhibits good toughness, low friction, dynamic load bearing properties and good processability. Provides high wear-, abrasion-, shock & fracture resistance, attenuation of noise and vibration and gas & aroma barrier in multilayer composite. Shows high resistance to heat and chemicals. Is suitable for processing by extrusion. Applications include extrusion films, multilayer films, monofilaments, and sausage casings, cast films, blown films, filaments, fibers. Used in profiles & extruded semi finished products made by cooled die process, solid rods (250 mm diameter), tube extrusion (approx. 5o mm diameter). Recommended for filtration, agriculture and textile technology, corrugated pipes and injection molding of casters and rollers.
