SA916N by Mitsubishi Chemical is a biodegradable biopolyester resin with a high biomass content. It possesses low gel content and transparency. It is degraded by microorganisms found in nature. It is recommended for various applications such as food packaging, plastic grocery bags, and agricultural mulch film.

It exhibits flexibility, high tear- & impact strength, and excellent processability.
SA916N shows compatibility with other biodegradable resins including BioPBS™.
