Chromodyn™ TT88SI

Chromodyn™ TT88SI by Shakespeare is a linear polyamide terpolymer with unique solubility characteristics and physical properties. It is a thread coating polymer with the highest bond strength and highest RV terpolymer. It is compatible with other nylons and ideal nylon carrier resins for color & functional additives requiring excellent dispersion and high loading. It offers improved adhesion to glass and metal surfaces. Because of its low molecular weight, the solution viscosity of Chromodyn™ TT88SI resin is lower than comparable nylon terpolymers. The lower solution viscosity penetrates the thread bundle more readily and results in stronger bonding. It is used for applications requiring a lower melting point. It is soluble in anhydrous methanol, n-propanol and in presence of water with ethanol, isopropanol & n-butanol. It can be applied by solution coating techniques. It is designed for pigment carrier, polymer additives and thread bonding.
