POLYSTYRENE IMPACT 8260

POLYSTYRENE IMPACT 5240 is a water insoluble polystyrene grade. Exhibits improved environmental stress crack resistance (when compared to standard high impact grades). Retains good mechanical properties at low temperatures making this grade suitable for frozen packaging. Also affords good printing performance. It can be processed using extrusion and injection. Suitable for refrigerator parts (inner liners, door liners, injected parts, etc.). Also proposed for the production of packaging intended for products likely to cause stress cracking like fats and oil. Applications for POLYSTYRENE IMPACT 5240 include trays & small boxes, white goods, corrugated sheets, technical parts, compounds & masterbatches, food & beverage packaging, appliances, general packaging, sheet for thermoforming, low temperature packaging applications (ice cream boxes & lids) and packaging for aggressive foodstuffs, matt finish & soft touch applications. Incompatible with strong acids, strong bases, strong oxidizing agents and halogens.
