ZELLAMID® 1400 T

ZELLAMID® 1400 T by Zell-Metall Engineering Plastics is a semi-crystalline, light grey colored, internally lubricated polyethylene terephthalate (PET) copolymer grade containing slide additive. It shows a significantly reduced coefficient of friction and increased resistance to wear as compared to unfilled PET. Exhibits low friction, high modulus of elasticity, low deformation and good resistance to acids. Offers clearly less abrasion contribution and increased abrasion strength and shows no medium porosity. ZELLAMID® 1400 T is recommended for slip components that are subjected to high flat pressing and high speed such as rollers, precision bearings, plugs, toothed gears, valves and distribution valves. It is used in applications involving soft metal and plastic mating surfaces. It is produced without centreline porosity and complies with BfR, FDA and EU 1935 2004/2011.
