Emma's Multifunctional Neck PillowsEmma, a direct-to-consumer (DTC) brand, has launched the Emma Go multifunctional neck pillow, made with BASF’s  flexible foam CosyPUR®. The versatile material solution CosyPUR®, which has already been used extensively in bedding materials such as mattresses and pillows, is used for the first time as a multifunctional neck pillow due to its favorable properties.

Comfort with Quality

Compared to traditional memory foams, the Emma Go multifunctional neck pillows are more comfortable owing to the exceptional air permeability and breathability of BASF’s CosyPUR®.

The open cell structure of CosyPUR® also makes it lighter in weight than traditional memory foams. With its excellent elasticity and recovery properties, when used in neck pillows, CosyPUR® provides enhanced support and pressure relief.

CosyPUR® also possesses excellent long-term use properties. Its viscoelastic properties, for example, are retained over a wide temperature range.

We developed the Emma Go pillow with BASF  based on our motto of ‘Made with you in mind’. Together with our ergonomic design concept, CosyPUR® is a game-changer for multifunctional neck pillows. The innovative foam material molds and adapts to the user’s position to provide personalized comfort for a better sleep experience when on the go,” said Melle Li, general manager, Emma China.

CosyPUR® is also a more sustainable material option as it is Oeko-Tex certified. It is also flame retardant according to British BS5852 Crib5,” said Minli Zhao, vice president, consumer industry, BASF Performance Materials, Asia Pacific.
