uniloy-ee-bm-machine Uniloy launches the new all-electric Uniloy UCS.E continuous extrusion shuttle machine. The UCS.E marks the 3rd iteration of their all-electric shuttle line. The UCS.E specializes in the production of bottles, containers, and technical parts as small as 50 ml (1.69 oz.) and as large as 30 l (7.9 gallons).

Uniloy has qualified service people located strategically across the globe to ensure the new UCS.E and all Uniloy machines and technologies remain operating at peak performance and ensuring their customer’s success today and in the future.

Ideal for Aseptic Manufacturing Environments

The UCS.E can process virtually all commercial resins enabling customers to produce everything from small cosmetic containers to large industrial packaging and co-extrusion capability of up to 7 layers including bio-resins and Post Consumer Resins (PCR).

With Uniloy’s all-electric platform, the UCS.E uses 40% less energy than a traditional hydraulic shuttle machine, it’s significantly quieter, and perhaps most importantly, it’s cleaner – the removal of hydraulic fluids allows for the UCS.E to be used in a cleanroom or aseptic manufacturing environments.

Connectivity and data were at the forefront of the UCS.E’s development, and the UCS.E line is Industry 4.0 ready and will allow for data exchange with our customer’s factory management systems and is prepared for future developments like preventative maintenance programs.

Completely Redesigned HMI

The Uniloy software engineering team used the new UCS.E to launch a completely redesigned HMI. The new controls are extremely user-friendly, intuitive, and modern, allowing for a speedier machine setup, numerous customizations.

The UCS.E and its compact machine design and reduced footprint were important design strategies, but the machine still allows easy access to all areas that require maintenance and serviceability.

Brian Marston, Uniloy president, and CEO said, “As with the automobile industry, demand for all-electric technologies is growing rapidly. The all-electric UCS.E is the result of over 10 years of experience with electric machines, research and development, and Uniloy actively listening to what our customers are telling us they want – A reliable, powerful, connected, all-electric machine – and Uniloy delivered.” Marston added, “We’ve had more product development in the past 1.5 years as an independent Uniloy than the brand had in the past two decades – truly an impressive feat by all of our global technical and backend teams. The future is bright for Uniloy, our customers, and blow molding.”
