Texin® 8990AE by Covestro is an aliphatic polyester-based thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). It exhibits better color stability towards ultraviolet exposure i.e. yellowing than aromatic thermoplastic polyurethane resins. It is suitable for processing by injection molding and extrusion.
  • It exhibits inherent resistance to hydrolysis, outstanding clarity and flexibility.
  • Texin® 8990AE is primarily designed for photovoltaic applications, but can be used for applications such as coated fabrics, tarps & rain gear, optical lenses, flexible windows and outdoor signage.
