ENGAGE™ 8401

ENGAGE™ 8401 by Dow is an easily colorable, light weight, general purpose polyolefin elastomer (POE) grade. It is based on ethylene octene copolymer.. Exhibits excellent melt strength, low density, good processability and lower shrinkage. Also exhibits excellent physical properties including elasticity, toughness, low temperature ductility and reduced surface gloss. Offers better thermal stability, heat- and improved impact resistance. Shows easy mixing, forming and processing on plastic or rubber equipments. It is a recyclable grade and can be processed by injection molding, extrusion and thermoforming. Provides good resilience and flexibility. Used as a neat polymer and value-enhancing ingredient in compound formulations. Applications of ENGAGE™ 8401 include footwear foams, toys, consumer and household items. Also used for automotive bumper fascia, TPO roofing and noise vibration harshness (NVH) applications.
