ENGAGE™ 8842

ENGAGE™ 8842 by Dow is an easily colorable, low density, light weight, general-purpose, talc-dusted polyolefin elastomer (POE) grade based on ethylene octene copolymer. It is based on INSITE™ technology. Exhibits excellent melt strength & processability and lower shrinkage. Provides excellent physical properties including elasticity, low temperature ductility and reduced surface gloss. Offers better thermal stability & heat resistance and improved impact resistance and low temperature toughness. Shows easy mixing, forming and processing on plastic or rubber equipments. It is recyclable for in-process scrap re-use. It is free of anti-block and slip. It can be processed using injection molding, extrusion, compounding and thermoforming. Suitable for making tough & resilient, yet flexible products. Moreover, it can be used as a “neat” polymer or as a value-enhancing ingredient in compound formulations. Recommended for airbag systems, body panel, exterior trim and console. Applications of ENGAGE™ 8842 includes footwear foams which are light and deliver excellent resiliency & cushioning to the shoe, molded goods like toys and other consumer household items, automotive bumper fascia, TPO roofing and noise vibration harshness (NVH) applications.
